The Veil
Subtext: "discovers secrets of all sorts"
Named in the one-shot (session 1). Percival Vale carries it — established in session 10, when he was asked to open a door with it and it opened.

What it does beyond the line on the card is still not known: whether the door was the card's power or a use it was put to, how a secret is chosen, whether the card picks or the user asks, and what it costs are all unrecorded.
History
- Session 10 — Percival opens a door with it at the Beachhouse after the night's rest. Everything in the room behind the door lied; the one recorded instance is a window looking out on the beach with no sound coming through it, which he hit trying to jump out, for 3 damage. Nothing was recorded about a cost for using it. See Session 10 — The Lying Room and the Loop.
Open
- Whether the subtext describes the card's power accurately. The Maiden reads "protects all" and its test killed Percival.
- Whether opening doors is what it does, or what it did that once. A card whose line is "discovers secrets of all sorts" opening onto a room where everything lies is unexplained.
- Whether "all sorts" means the card is indiscriminate — that it may surface secrets the user did not want found, including their own.
- Whether testing it requires a wound, as the Maiden's test did. It did not this time.
- How long Percival has had it, and whether the party knows he does.
Vessel
The Monocle (session 12).
Current Status (as of session 10)
