The First Flame

The earliest Zephyrian legends describe the Sun creating the first of their kind and placing the Burning Tree within Ether.

From its roots, the realm gradually grew into the world the Zephyrians would come to inhabit. Ether was never founded through conquest or war; it grew around the Tree.

The First Flame marks the beginning of the Zephyrian calendar.

This is what the Zephyrians believe, and it is not wrong so much as incomplete. The light they credit to the Sun was Ether's Flame showing through its hearth.
